We are accepting applicants for the following positions:
Veterinary/Kennel Assistant
Primary Responsibility
- Ensure that all patients receive the highest quality care possible.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean and sanitize all cages and related areas according to the hospital’s maintenance schedule.
- Provide food and water to each pet as instructed by the attending veterinarian.
- Walk all hospitalized and boarded dogs a minimum of 3 times daily.
- Perform boarding check-in and check-out duties.
- Assist doctors and other technicians with medication administration or restraint as needed.
- Assist the veterinarian as necessary.
- Recognize, record, and notify the veterinarian of any unusual condition or abnormal behavior exhibited by hospitalized or boarded patients.
- Ensure that all patients are clean prior to discharge.
- Bathe pets as needed.
- Provide mobile concierge/messenger services.
- Perform kennel duties on Sundays and holidays as scheduled, in rotation with other support staff.
- Always provide professional and positive service to clients and colleagues.
Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and compassionate Veterinary Receptionist/Assistant to join our team. This role focuses primarily on receptionist duties, with occasional assistance in patient care and clinic operations. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and able to deliver outstanding client service in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients warmly, check in patients, and manage appointment scheduling.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and relay messages accurately to the veterinary team.
- Process payments, maintain accurate client and patient records, and manage filing systems.
- Prepare and update patient charts prior to appointments.
- Assist with admitting and discharging patients, including providing clear client instructions.
- Support the veterinary team with basic animal handling, restraint, and cleaning when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and client spaces.
- Coordinate prescription refills and product sales as directed by the veterinarian.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a veterinary or medical reception role preferred.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and customer service skills.
- Comfortable handling animals of various sizes and temperaments.
- Proficient in basic computer skills and scheduling software.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Must be willing to work flexible and extended hours, including holidays and weekends.
